Butlers Emporium

Hello everyone!

I was just trawling through some snaps I took last summer.  It seems like a lifetime ago now!  When I visit my parents in East Sussex with the children, we always take a trip down to Hastings, on the South coast.  The old town is full of delightful boutiques and shops selling quirky homewares and vintage goods.  I took these pictures in Butlers Emporium and thought I'd share them with you, as this shop is like walking into a different time - rustic, reclaimed shop fittings, bare floorboards and peeling paint act as the backdrop for carefully selected homewares with a vintage vibe.  It's just beautiful.  Well worth a visit if you're ever in that neck of the woods.
After a wander round the shops, it is of course compulsory to go and get fish and chips on the seafront, followed by an ice cream for true retro seaside pleasure!

  1. I had an inkling that this was going to be Sussex, but hoped it would be Norfolk (much closer for me!). Still, I have relatives in Sussex so I have every excuse to pay Butlers Emporium a visit. It looks divine.
