Hello everyone, Happy Friday!
This little vignette in my living room came about by accident, whilst I was having a clean and tidy up the other day. I had piled all these textiles up on this chair, so I could give the sofa a vacuum (like you do! Sadly I found no money down the back of it this time). It was only when I turned round and realised how beautiful all the colours looked together that I decided to grab my camera to take some snaps.
The vintage kimono was picked up from a market stall on Brick Lane recently (see what other vintage treasure I found here). The paper ball was a lucky TK Maxx find and was left over from my daughter's birthday decorations - I love these paper balls and think they add a whimsical touch to any corner.
Tomorrow the children and I set off for our annual holiday down at Pevensey Bay in my parent's caravan. Whilst I dream of holidays in the sun next to an infinity pool with a cocktail or two, I know I have to make the most of these Enid Blyton, English seaside holidays, which still hold so much magic for the children. Activities will include collecting pebbles and sea glass, picnics on the beach, fish and chips eaten from paper, and a trip to Brighton to ride the old carousel on the pier. I have lots of lovely posts lined up for you though, which I very much look forward to sharing with you.
Have a lovely weekend!
