Hello everyone!
As regular readers of this will know, I have loved taking part in an Instagram Hashtag called Styling The Seasons. The brief was very simple - to style a surface of your home, according to the season. When Katy at Apartment Apothecary and Charlotte at Lotts and Lots emailed me back in 2014 asking if I would take part, I fell in love with the concept straight away. I have posted a Styling The Seasons post on Instagram and here every month since September 2014 (with the exception of July which was a crazy hectic month and I ran out of time!). I thought I would make August's post extra special, and I had a vision - dahlias, colour, and a few of my car boot fair finds form this summer. It was only after I took these snaps, that I learnt that Katy and Charlotte have decided to end on a high, and bring Styling The Seasons to a close. I have so much to thank Katy and Charlotte for. For inspiring me, for introducing me to other lovely bloggers, and for the lovely events I was able to attend - the wonderful Crafting The Seasons at Liberty, and Styling Spring At Mine. I made such lovely friends at both, and it introduced me to a community that I knew I wanted to be a part of - creative bloggers, photographers, stylists. Fabulous, creative, inspiring women.
Of course in my own way I shall continue with Styling The seasons as it's what I do anyway - sharing styled corners of my home with you. I think this post might be one of my favourites so it seems to be a very fitting one - going out in a blaze of glory! I wanted it to be full of colour and dahlia's, and I think my mission was accomplished! I had lots of fun making the mobile from strips of old silk taffeta ribbons, and little green glass lemonade bottles to display blooms in.
You can see all my Styling The Seasons posts here from the last two years. Thank you Katy and Charlotte, it's been beautiful!
