Rustic furniture and peonies...

Happy Friday everyone!

I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago of the amazing peonies I got from Morrisons.  Whenever I have some lovely flowers, I go a bit mad and end up taking far too many pictures, but hey, I just love a good bunch of blooms!

This is a little corner in my attic in front of the screen that hides my little workspace (pictures of my workspace here).  The little meat safe was picked up from a house clearance van at a car boot fair, and had actually been put to one side as it was destined for the skip, as the top was riddled with woodworm.  I took the top off, treated any other parts, and made the most primitive new top (woodwork is not a skill of mine!) out of some pine boards.  It is now a very pretty little storage area for all manner of junk.
Ever since the children were tiny, I've bought little vintage chairs to go in their bedrooms, and I still buy them when I see them.  This one is practically falling apart, but I just love how chippy and rustic it is.
