Hello everyone, I hope you're having a lovely weekend.
So, yesterday I had a bit of a change around in the craft room. (I seem to do more moving things around and faffing in there at the moment than actual crafting!) I've had a pretty vintage wardrobe in this corner since I moved here, but it never really suited the space and wasn't hugely practical in terms of storage. So I've decided that it's 'au revoir' for that particular piece, and time for a shake up. This glazed bureau was in my dining room before I replaced it with my chippy green cupboard. After a period of not knowing whether I wanted to keep it or not, I finally decided that this was the perfect spot for it, as well as being the ideal storage for some of my fabric in the glazed section, and the children's craft supplies in the cupboard below. It's a 1940's or 1950's piece I think, so it's proportions are boxy and utilitarian. It isn't the prettiest piece, but it was £20 from the car boot fair a couple of years ago, and the glazed cupboard on top is worth that at least. I'm going to paint the inside of the writing bureau section a greeny-turquoise for fun, and add some nice handles. I also have a carved wooden pediment which I'm going to add to the top of the glazed part, to add some character. I'm loving how it looks, and the craft room seems lighter and brighter. I'll share some snaps with you once it's completely finished!

Turned out really well. Love your style
