Fading Roses

Hello everyone!

A super quick post from me today, just wanted to share some pretty vintage with you!  Love using an old baking tin to display treasures in.  I bought these roses before Christmas, and they are fading to the prettiest deep pinky coral colour.
Here's to a creative and inspiring week!

  1. Hi Tamsyn-I am now in the process of reading your blog from the beginning. I find it very inspiring. Your positive attitude is as beautiful as your wonderful way with color. I see that you have a store, and I am wondering if you ever have any vintage lamp shades there? I have looked and see none currently, but I see a bunch of lovelies in your house! I've looked on ebay, and maybe I just need to be persistent, but since I love every lampshade you have, I wondered if you ever get them in the shop, or if you ever would find some for me? Any hope there? Best wishes and many thanks- Sara Marie

    1. Dear Sara, thank you so much for your lovely words, it makes me so happy to know that people can be inspired from reading my little blog. With regards to the lampshades, sadly we don't sell them on our website - the best thing to do is hit the car boot fairs, which is where I buy all mine from for a couple of pounds each - house clearance sales and junk shops are also good sources. And keep checking ebay - you will of course pay slightly higher prices, but you can get fab floral ones on ebay. Or, search for vintage pleated chiffon shade - this might come up with some lovely ones. Let me know how you get on, good luck with your search! xx

  2. I have been away from my computer for awhile so I had lots of catching up to do. You have accomplished so much this past year - your home is absolutely lovely, very warm and welcoming - so you should feel very proud for providing your family with such a wonderful home. It took a huge effort to make this house a home and you did it so brilliantly!! Wishing you all the best for 2015, and looking forward to reading more of your delightful posts.
