Magnolia

Hello everyone!

I hope you've had a lovely week.
I made my annual trek up to Chapelfield gardens in Norwich on my lunch hour on Monday, to photograph the cherry blossom trees.  However when I arrived, their buds were still closed, not yet ready to burst into their pink fluffy pompoms.  Instead I found this gorgeous magnolia tree, which looked magnificent against the bright blue sky, with it's luscious raspberry ripple cupped petals.

I was lucky enough to win a place on a floral wreath making workshop next week in London, after my Styling Spring At Mine post last week.  I feel very honoured to have won a place, and I'm so looking forward to meeting some amazing bloggers, and catching up with some of the ladies I met at Liberty back in November (see my Crafting The Seasons post here).  Another exciting event next week is that a photographer is coming to photograph the house for a magazine - cue me running around with a paint brush and wall filler trying to finish bits of decorating here and there!  I will keep you all posted on both my adventures!

  2. My daughter is at uni in Norwich, so I know Chapelfiel Gardens from our visits. It really is a beautiful park.
